Questo brano per Concert Band ripercorre musicalmente alcuni momenti della vita avventurosa di re Riccardo cuor di Leone. Riccardo Cuor di Leone figlio del re d’Inghilterra Enrico II e di Eleonora d’Aquitania fu re d’Inghilterra dal 1189 al 1199. Le sue imprese eroiche furono raccontate dai poeti del Medioevo, che lo descrissero come un campione di fede cristiana ed un intrepido e coraggioso soldato.

This piece for Concert Band musically retraces some moments of the adventurous life of King Richard the Lionheart. Richard the Lionheart son of King Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine was King of England from 1189 to 1199. His heroic deeds were recounted by the poets of the Middle Ages, who described him as a champion of the Christian faith and an intrepid and courageous soldier.
